How we handle your details
Privacy policy
We are a bakery, not a data business. We ask for the least we can and still get warm bread to your door.

What we collect
When you place an order — on this website or in the Seven Dough app — we collect the details needed to bake and deliver it:
- Your name and phone number, so we can confirm the order.
- Your delivery address, area and any landmark you add, so the driver can find you. Not collected for pickup orders.
- Any notes you write for the kitchen.
- What you ordered, and the total.
If you create an account, we also store your email address and a one-way hash of your password. We never store the password itself and cannot recover it.
If you turn on notifications in the app, we store the push token your device issues. It identifies the installation, not you, and is deleted automatically once you uninstall the app.
We do not collect payment details anywhere. Orders are settled in person, on delivery or collection.
Why we need it
To bake your order, to call you about it, and to bring it to you. That is the whole purpose.
If you have an account, your last delivery details are saved and pre-filled next time — the only reason the account exists. You can change or clear them whenever you like.
If you opt in to notifications, we use your push token to tell you when a fresh batch is out of the oven and when your order is on its way. Both can be switched off separately in the app, and turning them off stops us sending them.
Who else sees it
Your order details are sent to the bakery's own WhatsApp so the kitchen can act on them. Beyond that, the only third parties involved are the services that run the site and the app:
- Vercel — hosting for the website and its API.
- Neon — the database where orders and accounts are stored.
- CallMeBot — the gateway that delivers your order to the bakery's WhatsApp.
- Expo — delivers push notifications to your device, if you have turned them on.
- Google Analytics — anonymous traffic measurement on the website. It does not run in the app.
- Meta — measures which of our adverts actually lead to an order, so we are not paying to show them to people who would never want them. Browsing the site shares only anonymous activity. When you place an order, we additionally send Meta your order value and a scrambled copy of your name and phone number — scrambled one way, so Meta can check whether it matches someone who saw our advert but can never read your actual name or number, and neither can anyone who intercepts it. Your address, landmark and order notes are never sent. This does not run in the app.
We do not sell your details. Apart from the advert measurement described above, we do not share them with anyone else for advertising.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept so you can see your history and reorder. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete them. Push tokens are removed as soon as a device stops accepting notifications — usually the moment the app is uninstalled.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and everything attached to it at any time, in two ways:
- In the app: Account → Delete account. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
- By message: contact us on WhatsApp or at sevendough.eg@gmail.com and we will delete it for you.
Deleting your account removes your name, email, phone, address and saved details. Past order records are detached from your account and kept only as anonymous sales records, which we need for our own accounts.
Children
The app and this website are meant for adults ordering bread. We do not knowingly collect details from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Any change that affects what we collect will be announced in the app before it takes effect.
Getting in touch
